Alta Club Photo Shoot

It was Christmas in September at The Alta Club.... I have a super fun job where I do Holiday and event decorating at The Alta Club in downtown Salt Lake. One of the members there owns DownEast and wanted to do the Christmas Catalog shoot at The Club, so I got to do all the set decorating and it was a ton of fun. This is one of the areas they did the shoot. The lighting is bad, but you get the idea.

Kanab, Utah

We took a fun family trip to Kanab, Utah back in August and I am just getting around to posting about it now. The Chamberlain side of the family is from Kanab and Doug wanted to take a trip down their and take all of the older grandkids. Clint and I were able to go too and we took Ruby, we had so much fun with all of the kids. We went to the cave and clint took everyone shooting. The kids had a lot of fun. The best part was seeing how excited Ruby and Sophia got when it was there turn to shoot the gun. They kept saying I want to shoot the big gun.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUBY

I am a bit behind on posting these pics from Ruby's fairy birthday party. Her birthday was July 5th and she had a great day. All the girlss that came recieved their very own fairy wings to decorate and a fairy wand. The only sad part was that Clint missed it.

ROAD TRIP

After Clint returned home from his month long of Army training we were able to hit the road for a fun family trip. We headed down to So. Cal to visit Grandma Ruby.... or as our little Ruby says Grandma Mother. We had so much fun just hanging out and visiting the Zoo and Reagan Library and going to Santa Barbara. Grandma Mother was such a good host. Little Ruby even got to spend some time out at the pool. We then headed up the coast to visit some of my family. The drive was beautiful and we stopped along the was to hang out at a few beaches and find some seashells. The highlight for Ruby was getting to hang out with cousin Joseph. He is the cutest little guy ever. We had such a great trip and it was fun to see family. Thanks to everyone who let us crash with them. We Love You

Changes

The biggest change around here is the fact that Clint is gone and has been for about two weeks and won't be back for another two weeks. He is off at Ft. Lewis, WA completing some army training. I have only been able to talk to him a couple of times via payphone and we don't even get to email. It's only written letters sent trough the mail. It's pretty pathetic. The time is actually going really fast for me. I have been so busy with youth conference, Ruby's birthday, my birthday, Grandma Ruby's birthday, the fourth of July, and so many family members being in town for my parents farewell before they head off to Brazil. I feel bad for Clint that he is missing so much, but I have been taking a ton of pics and will be posting them for you all to see too. The night before Clint left we were able to spend some time up at the Mt. Aire cabin. We love it up there.

Surgery

Poor Clint...We are watching Clint's brothers two kids this week, while they are having fun in Hawaii. And Clint had to have surgery. What fun!!!! So he has been laid up all week and having to help with kids. What a crazy week!!!!! Ruby has loved it though. She has a friend around all day and night. She and Ella have been having so much fun together and all Ruby can talk about now is Ella and Owen. We are going to be in big trouble when we leave.

It's been awhile since I have posted anything, so this is just a catch up day. Ruby is just as darling as ever and makes us so happy. She has really been into dressing herself lately. She always wants to pick out her clothes for the day but then she changes about ten different times. She also comes up with great dress up outfits. She has quite the little personality.

Clint has been super busy with school and Army stuff. He is doing so well and is ranked #1 among the cadets...all this while still maintaining a 4.0. What a guy. He is pretty amazing. My parents finally got their mission call. They are going to Brazil and leave in July. We are all so excited for them to have such a fun and neat experience. We recently went to Palm Springs for a little getaway. Ruby had a great time with her cousin Sophia. I will be posting pics of that trip soon.

Chamberlain Family Pictures

Back in December we were able to get a great family picture with everyone in the Chamberlain Family. Clint's sister Carlan did such a great job, she is super talented and put a ton of time into making them beautiful. Clint's dad Doug wanted to get a good family Picture before he started chemo this month. He has been diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer and has gone through radiation, hormone treatments and now chemo. What a trooper. We love you Doug.

Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! What a fun time of year. We have had such a great time with friends and family. Christmas morning was fun with little Rubes. She had fun opening her presents and especially loved her new dress from Mas. On Christmas Day we drove down to Las Vegas to be with my family, it was fun to hang with Rich and Ester and baby Joseph and Matt and Yoshi. Ruby loves all of her Aunts and Uncles and little cousins. She was so sad when she woke up one morning and we told her that baby Joseph was gone. She started to cry. It was really sad because it made Rich get teary eyed because he won't see Ester and Joseph for 7 months. He has been deployed to Cosovo and will not be home til next December.
