Yep you read that correctly.
I purchased this knit dress at target for $3.00
I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it, but what I did know is that I have been sooo in love with knits lately and the fact that it is striped was just an added bonus.
This was super easy and only took me one evening of work after Ruby had gone to bed, and while Mr. C played his PS3.

Since it was an XL I had to take in the sides of the top. I didn't take any in off of the skirt part
I also took off those waist band hangy thingys....didn't want those. And then I changed the neck line.
Instead of a faux wrap top, I made it just a plain V-neck. And I love the way it turned out.
I love the way it turned out. Can't wait to see what people think.
Have a great day!!!!!!
love it, love it! The belt looks so great with it too, nice work!
ReplyDeleteGreat ensemble! You are as clever as your mom with the sewing machine.
ReplyDeleteHoly Hannah~ You got some MAD skills woman! Love that dress, you should've bought the whole lot of ugly XL's with the hangy belt thing...and then transformed them too and sold them!~ I want one!
